Long‑running Guardian Project app to bring Tor to Android system‑wide; complements Tor Browser for non‑browser traffic.

Why use it

Give specific apps Tor connectivity without modifying the app; helpful for chat, RSS, or tools that can use a proxy.

Safe use

Prefer per‑app routing; avoid forcing all traffic through Orbot unless you understand breakage; Tor does not support UDP; some apps may leak outside Tor.

Limits

Not a firewall; misconfigured apps can still bypass; high‑bandwidth or real‑time apps perform poorly over Tor.
